The New Tone Musicals is establised in 1969 stands as Sri Lanka’s oldest and reputable guitar manufacturing company.The New Tone founded by Mr. H. A. Dharmasena, currently the 3rd generation oversees operations. Specializing in manufacturing and repair of various string instruments including Guitars, Mandolins, Violins, and Ukuleles.

Our Woods

We carefully handpick the finest solid woods, drawing from our extensive expertise to ensure superior quality. Using both flat-sawn and quarter-sawn woods, we personally cut and prepare the materials used in our instruments. Among the many woods we work with, we are particularly proud of Gmelina, a remarkable tonewood that we have studied and experimented with for over 20 years. Its exceptional tonal qualities, combined with spruce, make it one of our top choices for crafting the perfect guitar tops.
